Happy Book Hooks Blog Hop Day! Today my excerpt from HER BEST MAN is Nothing in Common. Sarah thinks she's the opposite of Will; she believes she's as dull as dishwater while he's the life of the party. I think she's being a little hard on herself!

Excerpt:
Music played in the background as a friendly waitress took her order. Sarah asked for a glass of white wine, not knowing what else to order. When she thought about it, she realized she hadn't been in a bar since her university days. She really was dull, she thought with a sigh.
Sarah admitted to herself that she felt excited at the prospect of meeting Will this afternoon. While she'd sweated through the aerobics class and listened to the art lecture with Beatrice, and especially while she'd dodged Mr. Bad Toupee, she'd thought of Will and the fun activities he'd have in store for her. Just being around Will was fun.
A stern voice in her head told her that the last thing she needed was a party boy in her life. She needed security and roots, while he craved foot-loose adventure. They had nothing in common.
But even though she told herself this, she couldn't quash the excitement that trembled through her body when Will walked through the door.

Blurb:
Sarah Stevens experiences a bride's worst nightmare; being dumped at the altar. When she goes on the Caribbean cruise meant to be her honeymoon in order to lick her wounds, she discovers her ex-fiancé has sent his brother, Will Marshall, the former best man, on the cruise as well. Everyone on board thinks they're newlyweds, and Sarah is too embarrassed to set them straight. How is she supposed to share a tiny cabin with a man she barely knows? How is she supposed to pretend that she and Will are on their honeymoon? Even worse, how can she keep from falling in love with him? Sarah discovers the best man for her really is the best man.

Nothing wrong with a party boy now and then... especially since we kind of know he'll end up being her soul mate!
There's no hiding her excitement at seeing him. Such a lovely scene!
Hi,
Sarah's deeply wounded after she's left at the altar. It seems she believes that getting over the pain means letting her hair down with someone she can be wild with, but is that what Will wants? Will she be surprised? I hope not. I hope he's serious.
Great excerpt. I like how you're exploring Sarah's emotions.
